Abstract: We investigated the midterm results of resection arthroplasty of all 5 metatarsal heads in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and forefoot deformity and analyzed the factors that affect patient satisfaction levels. Of 64 patients (1 male, 63 females), 107 feet were treated with resection arthroplasty for forefoot deformity at our hospital from January 1992 to December 2005. The mean follow-up period was 5.8 ± 3.1 years, with all patients having at least 1 year of follow-up.
