Prefab v Prefab with extra design feature trial on specific symptom cohort

In my limited reading I have only read of trials which compared the efficacy of prefabricated orthoses and ‘modified Root’ orthoses (to control flat ‘sham orthoses’). Has there been any trials in which the prefabricated o’s effect were compared with modified prefabricated o’s effect, where a particular design feature was incorporated for a specific symptom, on that symptom?
