Pain in the tibialis posterior tendon section of my foot

I have recently gotten home from travelling for a few months and have a very painful left foot. It was ok, just a little sore on my arrival but after working (waitressing) for two 8 hour shifts I am now in severe pain. I went to the doctor this afternoon and he thought that it was plantar fasciitis but I now do not think it is becuase the area that it says is most painful is not affected.
