avuncular fracture

I am a 50year old female and 6 weeks ago I fell and twisted my foot while on holiday.Unfortunately I could only see a doctor 2 weeks later and xrays showed I have an avulsion fracture anterior to the navicular bone on the lateral view.There is also a flake noted laterally in relation to the tarsal bone around the calcaneus.I have been wearing a moonboot but the pain is still very pronounced and I have a hard swelling on the top of my foot.Is this normal?:confused:
